Teacher Education in (Post-)Pandemic and (Post-)Digital Times
International Perspectives on Intercultural Learning, Diversity and Equity
The anthology “Teacher Education in (Post-) Pandemic and (Post-) Digital Times: International Perspectives on Intercultural Learning, Diversity, and Equity” has recently been published as part of the IDEAS project. Edited by Dr Silke Braselmann, Junior Professor Dr Lukas Eibensteiner, and Professor Dr Laurenz Volkmann in collaboration with the Centre for Teacher Education and Educational Research at Friedrich Schiller University Jena, this volume features 11 scholarly contributions. It addresses the challenges of teacher education in the post-pandemic and digital age over 262 pages.
The collected volume draws on experiences from the COVID-19 pandemic and offers international as well as interdisciplinary perspectives on intercultural learning, diversity, multilingualism, and equity in teacher education. International educators from various research fields in the scope of teacher training examine the diverse challenges posed by the pandemic while also reflecting on the opportunities for teacher education in (post-) pandemic times. The authors present conceptual as well as practical examples, sharing insights from various projects that arose from the sudden necessity to adapt to a (post-)digital world.
Peter Lang Verlag published the volume with funding from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The editors are responsible for the content.
